Hi! I'm Andrew Vandekop and together with my wife Teisha, we are the founders of Water for Earth, Inc., based in Meridian, Texas. We have extensive experience using the patented EM Locator Technology system to find aquifers for the withdrawal of water (Well Water Finders). In October of 2023, our system was a featured technology at World Water-Tech North America. In 2024, we plan to use this technology to assist in recharging depleted aquifers and the construction of completely new aquifers.
Our journey began more than 20 years ago when my father Franz Vandekop, and I created the initial system. My dad actually patented, developed and manufactured the first solid state over the horizon positioning system used by NOAA, the military and oil companies before the availability of GPS. With this expertise, we set out to create a system that could fit in the back of a trailer and detect subterranean formations. Because our technology detects hardness of layers, we are able to create aquifers using harvested rainfall.
Andrew Vandekop, Inventor and Founder
Andrew began his career in robotics engineering and sold his first patent at age 29. He's been in new product development his entire career and has applied these skills to three additional patents including the system developed by EM Locator Technology, used by Water for Earth. During the time he spent field testing the prototype, he served as a founding team member of a telecom start-up that went public on the NYSE in 2006. When Andrew takes breaks from helping to enhance the world’s water supply, he enjoys creating handmade silver jewelry and spending time with his family.
Teisha Vandekop, Founder
Teisha designed and implemented the service delivery model for commercializing the EM Locator Technology system. She has spent the last two years working with commercial developers, water well drillers and landowners to determine the groundwater potential for properties. Prior to this, she spent several years as an executive vice president at one of the world's top PR agencies, executing new product campaigns for Fortune 100 companies. When Teisha takes breaks from helping to improve quality of life through availability of water, she enjoys traveling with Andrew.
